A Safer City for All Londoners
March 2017Yesterday, the Mayor and I launched the Police and Crime Plan 2017-2021 – “A Safer City for All Londoners”.
The plan aims to restore real neighbourhood policing, create a safer city for everyone in London and commits to protecting the most vulnerable Londoners. The Mayor will ensure the police focus on tackling problems of most pressing local concern – while maintaining a consistently high standard of service for all Londoners. Additionally, it promises extra protection and support for children and young people, in tackling violence against women and girls and in standing together against hatred and intolerance.

We have consulted extensively with partners throughout the development and formulation of this plan. These consultations were undertaken when the proposals in the draft plan were at a formative stage. Additionally, all responses to our statutory consultation were read, analysed and given careful consideration before this plan was finalised.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you everyone for their feedback whether it was formal or informal. We want to continue to engage with communities and individuals across London throughout the delivery of this plan. Please feel free to pass this email and the plan on to your network.
